I wonder, sometimes, with changings of the guard in various places. Are they real military in all of those places, or do some places have actors? If you got assigned to this job, would you be thrilled to get a cushy assignment, or unhappy that you got a crappy and boring assignment? (I suppose that last depends on whether or not the alternative is Iraq or similar!)
I think these were either volunteers or palace employees? Maybe not, but they didn't really look like authentic military to me, not to mention that there would be no real benefit to having a bunch of costumed military men standing around? (Unless of course, another drunk person decided to destroy another national treasure...so, maybe....)
