New Years Survey 2006 A Year In Review

What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? Went to college, had a long term relationship, fell in love, got frisky, went to a college party, other college things, liked a few country songs. Went to South Carolina and stayed there. Went to Springmill. ++++.

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Not a resolution kind of person. I think my only resolution this year is to be nice to everyone and not talk about people anymore. You should just never talk about people.

Did anyone close to you give birth? My cousin's had a kid. I think her name is Sophie. That name is pretty 'in' i think. I feel like theres another baby hangin' around somewhere.. hmm.

Did anyone close to you die? Fortunately no!

What countries did you visit? Jamaica, USA, Grand Cayman, and Canada. xoxo.

What did you wear on Halloween? I was a 80's girl, or some like to think a teddy bear grr, and I was also a sailor girl. That one was pretty sweet.

Where and how did you spend your Thanksgiving? I was at my Aunt/Uncle's house. Brad came with me and I was glad. Then my family made a joke about Brad being molested as a child. Then things got awkard.

Were you kissed under misletoe? No but I always wish I did! But then, if you think about it, it probably wouldnt be that sweet.

What did you get for Christmas? Digital Camera woot, Apples to apples, socks and underwear and bras, things like that.

How did you spend New Years Eve? I'll be honest, it kind of sucked a little. No, it just wasn't sooooo sweet as usual. I went to Brad's, we played apples to apples with greg, chris brittany and Kent, then some poker and I am just getting damn sick of poker. Then we went to Mike's where there were like 6 people which was fine but I didn't know half of them. THen the Neracher's for a little (I had that I'm in college and I dont belong feeling). After it was 2007, we went back to mikes and hung out where we spent the night. It wasn't bad, it just wasnt a sweet a new years.

What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? Having all of my friends be freinds, being okay without Brad, I didn't lack much. 2006 was pretty good.

What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Canada camping trip, Fray/James Blunt, Warped Tour, Dashboard concert, Graduation day, Halloween, Other college nights. +++++++++++.

What was your biggest achievement of the year? Getting along with Heather SO WELL, making great new friends, Getting a so-so GPA (better than bad), Staying in a lonnnnngggg relationship and making it at year!, getting my mom an Ipod for christmas lol.

What was your biggest failure? Yikes, loosing my ring temporarily, not getting a 4.0 cause I really wanted to, The fights with the parents about stupid things, Not too many failures, I guess!

Did you suffer illness or injury? I was sick a little. And my knee hurts sometimes. And my back, and I got a bruise 2 days ago.

How did you celebrate your 4th of July? I have been trying to think of it for like, the whole time but I have NO idea. haha.

What was the best thing you bought? Basically nothing, because all I buy is food and jewelry.

What Did you Do on Valentines Day this year? I loved Vday! This year will be better, I hope! :). I had Sara, David and Klink set up balloons allllll over brad's room and fill the cieling while we went to dinner. I gave him some gifts and a fortune cookie that I made the fortune! It wasnt really that sweet but I was so proud of it and very happy about it.

Whose behavior merited celebration? I have no clue, everyone merits celebration, everyone should celebrate!

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? A few people. That's an awful question though.

Where did most of your money go? Food, and laundry. College laundry rooms are sooo expenssssive.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?Camping, Concerts, college, parties, hangin' out.

What song will always remind you of 2005? 1000 Times a Day - The Early November, Cartel songs, New Dashboard songs, The Fray, The Format, there are a ton!!

Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder? I think I am the same. I seemed to be pretty happy this time last year!

What do you wish you'd done more of? Worked harder on school, looked harder for a job at school, be concious of how much $$ I have.

What do you wish you'd done less of? Spend the cash, cry, worry.

How did you spend Christmas? I worked. I always work on Chrismas now. It was good though.

Who did you spend the most time on the phone with? Brad, definately. Every college night. Sometimes Sara and my Mom.

Did you fall in love in 2006? Absolutely! Asbsolutely head over heads in love.

How many one-night stands? Hah I was in a relationship for the whole year (thats nuts).

What was your favorite TV program? Prison Break, Lost, the 9, and some VH1 shows.

Who was your favorite teacher? All of my teachers were so-so, so I'd have to go with my religion teacher. Oh, and my favorite teacher is always Hoogenboom but she wasn't every my teacher.

Do you like anyone now that you didn't this time last year? Not sure. I like people more than I did before, at least.

What was the best book you read? I dont think I read any, other than ANTHROPOLOGY which SUCKED. And other than that, ZIP. Oh, I have been reading chicken soup for the college soul and it's REALLY sad but I like it.

What was your greatest musical discovery? I dont think I discovered ANYTHING. I'm out of the music loop, I let Brad do the discovering, then I follow. This year I enjoyed: The Early November, The Format, The Fray, Kelly Clarkson, Cascada... much much more.

What did you want and get? A great time in college? I don't really know. I wanted the stuff I got for christmas from my family and Brad. I loved this year, I got alot of great things.

What did you want and not get? Hmm, can't think of anything. Maybe a job in college.

What was your favorite film of this year? I liked a few movies, but nothing was spectacular. I liked Little Miss Sunshine the best though. The Departed was sweet, and Running Scared.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 19 and I had a road rally on the 19th. For the 6th, I opened a present that Sara and Katie got me, and I basically had a sweet day. I love my birthday :).

What's one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? More cash, being rich, having brad at MSU, getting a 4.0 this semester (ha).

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005? I started straying from the plainest plain, and I wore a few sweaters and even put a collared shirt underneath. That's basically it though, I'm still pretty plain. OH but I cant get enough of my UGG BOOTS now!!! HAHAH I love them.

What kept you sane? The usual: Pop, internet, ipod, and Sara&Brad.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Michael Scoffield/i cant remember his real name from Prison Break, and that's pretty much it.

What political issue stirred you the most? I dont remember being stirred other than prop 2 becuase that really stirred me!

Who/what did you miss? I missed my home, Brad (alot!) then I missed school, high school, My best friends, My family.

Who were the best new people you met? The Berkley Girls, Heather Becker, A bunch of people from school, Work friends, anyone else?

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005: Don't get mad about stupid things, there's no point! Don't worry about people not liking you because that happens to EVERYONE. Fall in love, it's the best thing that could ever happen to you, and don't let anything or anyone come between it. It's okay to have fun, and peer pressure never has to get you. I don't remember making any big mistakes that I learned from, just some lessons that I sometimes think about and make important.

Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: I seriously looked for a while. I cant find one, other than

A THOUSAND TIMES A DAY, I TELL YOU I LOVE THE WAY YOU SING
EVEN THOUGH IT MAKES ME CRY, ITS MY FAVORITE TIME TO BE ALIVE
AND ALL I KNOW IS I FEEL LOST WITHOUT YOU. "I MISS YOU" IS
NOT ENOUGH. I KNOW THE STORYS OLD; IT'S BEEN TOLD A MILLION
TIMES BEFORE BUT TO TELL IT FEELS SO GOOD. IT REMINDS ME
THAT NOT ALL I DO IS RIGHT, AND ALL I KNOW IS THAT
I feel so lost without you
