[scallops yum]- Starter #2: Deconstructed apple, walnut, brie and arugula salad with ( Read more... )

P.S. Les Bouchons Rive Gauche at the Tyler Print Inst, and probably the Ann Siang one, do very nice steak frites!

Aw poor poot. :( When if your next free day?

Ooh Les Bouchons Rive Gauche sounds nice! Steak frites, mmmmmm. I wonder who I can have dinner there with. (CS is trying to Eat Healthy so I will obviously have to bribe someone else.)

Lamb rack? Now you've got me wondering whether the rack on a lamb actually is the *rack* on the lamb, IYKWIM. ;-)

What is this deconstructed salad? Did they make you peel and chop the apples and walnuts yourself? *imagines someone handing Stel a basket with a couple of apples, unshelled walnuts, and a hunk of Brie in the wrapper: "Nah." *

Tarte Tatin, no matter the fruit, is almost always my favourite dessert when it is available. I'm with you on that one.

But it's deconstrucTED for me! So no peeling and unshelling involved. :) Just a fancing way of saying this salad ain't tossed, but arranged in layers for you, tosser!

Yuuuuum. Gosh I'm hungry still. This weekend I'm having dinner at a place that serves "floral cuisine". I'm not sure I'm going to like what I get. Will report back.

Oops, ok fixed link. The private dinner room is really nice with bookshelves and sofas and mahogany. But at $100++ per person for the private room??? I'm never going to be able to afford such decadence. Even if I could I'm not sure I would want to. Well maybe if I were a millionaire I'd think about it. :P

Steak frites! When you get well we go. :)
