1) Where to stay in Melbourne?
- CBD? St Kilda's?

Ooh that looks really nice! We had to scale down the trip by a few days though, so probably not going to hit the great ocean road this time (I've been, CS hasn't). Looks like we're going to have to go back! ;)

Okay quick one -

If you can afford time - drive up north to Bright and some of the wineries.

Yarra for wine tasting and I really enjoyed staying at chateau yerring. Food was EXCELLENT.So was domain chandon and Green Point pinot noirs are awesome.
Shopping - I mostly shop cheap at DFOs, some shops along brunswick and the cheap belt along Bridge road.

Depending on time, if you like the great outdoors got to Wilsons Prom or head to brighton's beaches, sorrento in Mornington. My folks boat and fish and chartering a yacht out is actually really affordable + gorgeous.

I rent a car and drive around the city/everywhere whenever i visit my family because parking is okay if you know which Wilsons lots to park at but trams are great too.
Must go to NGV - national gallery victoria
Parks are great. So are long walks by the river at 5pm.
Drink more flat whites :)

if you need any advice on mornington, yarra or general melb/victoria surrounds feel free to email :)

Oooh chartering a yacht is something I never thought about! Can you charter for a few hours only?

We're going to be staying near Healesville and at Red Hill for mornington - CS signed us up for a cheesemaking course because he wants to make cheese (successfully, more than just boring ricotta & yoghurt cheese) for the first time in his life. :P
