A bit late, and I haven't written anything in ages, but here goes:

drink up the winter sky was one of the first J/I fics I read, back when I was tentatively testing the waters having finally got over my irrational fear that all J/I writers were out to hate on my beloved Gwen.

You are one of very few remarkable writers who are not only capable of capturing these gorgeous and complex characters perfectly, describing the scene eloquently yet concisely, providing fluff without it being cloying - I could feel the crisp air on their skin and see the condensed breaths as they exhaled as if I were standing a few feet away. Still can, as I'm reading it back months later. I'm not sure how you did it, but you gave it atmosphere and texture and reality...and I'm babbling on like a loon, sorry.

Just...I love that fic. And I'm sorry I didn't comment at the time, but I still felt a little like I was cheating on my OTP. :P

And I just spent a stupidly long amount of time trying to come up with a comment that would do your writing justice. I think I probably failed. Ah well.

I. Oh my god. I cannot tell you how flattered I am, because honestly? I didn't think anyone thought drink up the winter sky was that good. I personally didn't think it was one of my best works. It was just a simple, short fic that I wrote because I liked the prompt and I felt like writing something sweet. (Plus the fact that I am SO intimidated by the Torchwood fandom, I am terrified of writing Torchwood fic because I am so much younger than everyone else-- I'd just come from an entirely different fandom where I knew lots of people my age and I'd written for almost two years in that fandom so it was a big change for me.) But your comment just made me so happy I could cry. Now I feel more confident and I'm going to try and work on that Torchwood fic I started like a month ago and hopefully finish it before S3 comes out ( ... )

I remember the first time I read one of your fics--I seriously could not believe that you were only 15, because your writing style and word choice reflect a writer who is much older, and more seasoned. Needless to say, I think you're a brilliant writer. ♥
