A Foreign Country

Salut tout le monde. Les cours approchent leur fin (déjà!) et en leur compagnie arrive tout les projets de fin de terme, les exposés, les dissertations et tout autre: plein de choses à me tenir occupée. Quand je ne me casse pas la tête sur mes devoirs j'essaie de tenir mon studio au propre, faire mes courses ou me faire à manger.

I suppose the question then becomes what has the power; the art, or the information it holds? Art was, I assume, at one point, the most expedient way to convey information in the form of ideas. Is it still?

Yes, art was very widespread in conveying information: mostly because the majority of people were illiterate! Hence why so much iconography in churches - stained windows, statues, etc. I think people in 'modern' countries tend to forget what one story can do to people.
As for expedience today, still valid: think of the iPad, iPod, Kindle etc - technologies designed to bring us closer to music, movies, books, a sort of universal access to the human collective... (mkay, now I really want to go write some scifi now)
