Okay, I tried to be organized, but I'm pretty much all over the place with my thoughts here. So sorry.
I have decided that it doesn't matter who Veronica dates now, because she'll be with Weevil by season's end. He's such her puppy. And ultimately? It will be Veronica/Deputy Leo 4EVA! (But not until after we get some Veronica/Casey. I'm such a couple whore for this show. I want Veronica to date everyone.) When Leo cupped her bruised cheek, that was 100x hotter and sweeter than all the make-out scenes with Logan and snuggly schmoopy scenes with Duncan. I miss my mumbly Leo already. Can they hurry up and cancel his show so he can come back to VM?
Anyway, I thought that was really clever of Rob Thomas. Suck in the rabid Logan fans with him being at the door, getting back with Veronica, and hooking them with the Logan/PCH mystery before breaking up the couple. Logan's getting a HUGE storyline this season, so Rob gets to play out the Veronica/Duncan relationship without scaring away the Logan fans who were so "not watching if Duncan's at the door/Veronica dates Duncan." Rob Thomas is smarter than we!
Speaking of the PCH mystery, I don't think Logan killed Felix, but I am very worried about what this means for Weevil. Felix was kind of Weevil's right-hand-man, so if one of the bikers knifed him in the melee, he might be coming after Weevil next. And if the other bikers know about it and did nothing/said nothing to Weevil then Weevil's definitely in trouble.
I keep forgetting about this part because of Keith's later "Try pinching your nipples" line, but I loved the kitchen scene with Veronica and Keith. "No premarital sex?" "Oh. Yeah. Yes. But I promise you're gonna like these guys." Cutest father/daughter duo ever! Just imagine DJ and Danny Tanner having that exchange. Or Jack and Sydney Bristow.
I love that Logan called Lilly "my girlfriend" in the break-up scene. And I love that we got that little glimpse of Lilly. I, of course, jumped out of my seat when I heard Lilly's voice. I hope that this isn't the last we see of her. I love my Lilly too much to let go.
What was up with the All-Star ball player and the Guttenberg? There was definitely some conflict between them before Champ was introduced to the kiddies. I love that Veronica and Duncan didn't comment on it, but I still think it has something to do with the season-arc. Rob lets us see stuff that's important, but he doesn't spell out WHY it matters. Same thing as Veronica's line at the beginning "Logan and Duncan aren't talking. Guess that's what happens when your best friend starts dating your ex." I love that she was referring to Duncan as the one dating the best friend's ex, but we didn't know that yet. Clever show!
I downloaded the song from the Duncan/Veronica coffee shop montage. "Long Time Coming" by Delays; I dig it. Also, after the "She's back with Duncan!" reveal, I ran into the kitchen and called my little sister. She had called me after the teaser, squealing about Logan at the door, and I just couldn't resist. I took a break from dancing around my kitchen floor to laugh in her ear. She hung up on me before I got any actually words out. Hmmph!
I'm a little WTF? about the limo being right behind the bus when it went over the cliff, since the limo wasn't at the gas station, but I'll buy it. Especially because we (okay, I) needed to see that scene of Duncan all teary, holding Veronica. If she hadn't shown up when she did I think our poor Donut would have followed the bus off the cliff. I'm gonna miss Meg, but if they get Mac back soon, I'll get over her.
So, what's bothering me most about last night's episode? Not knowing what the fortune cookie paper said. I've come up with a few possibilites:
"Violets are blue, roses are red; let's get back together, my only sister is dead!"
"Remember that whole drugged sex thing? Let's try it again, only sober!"
"I never... killed or slept with a girl who was my sister!"
"I didn't kill my sister, but I hired a guy to off Mommie Dearest."
"U R KEWL."
I know that there are more things that I want to squeal about, but I'll need to rewatch first. I have no real complaints. I'm just so giddy to have my show back! Yay!
Is it Wednesday yet?
