Sorry to hear of your loss.... I went through exactly the same thing with my cat a few years ago, although he belonged to the whole family, he always came to me and was always kind of my cat, which is why, when he was poisoned and we had to have him put to sleep I wanted to be there with him.....
It takes a while to get over the loss of a close pet as they becoome part of the family, but you will always have the memories... it sounds like you gave him the best life he could of had and that he was very loved, and Im sure that he knew that and enjoyed his time...... xxx

Thanx Carly. I do feel strangely calm because I know he's at peace now, but the first everything is hard. Like waking up this morning and him not greeting me. Wierd.
