Wow @ the scenes on the news at the moment showing that a new pope has been elected.

Seeing everyone there rejoicing at the news has totally made me teary.

It's pretty amazing, isn't it. I've just said in mine though, that I can't believe they've picked a man of 78!

It was amazing - I'm glad I've seen this in my lifetime.

I have to admit, this is the first new Pope in my lifetime, so I think it sucks.. It's been like what? 2 weeks since John Paul II died? Maybe I'm being sentimental. I don't think I'm a big fan of change. Sometimes.

Or critical...

And Benedict XVI? Eggs Benedict! It's what I'm thinking here... *hates eggs benedict* Why have 16 unfortunate popes chosen this name I ask you? What's wrong with John Paul? Or John? I think those two were the other possibilities.

They started talking about the reasons behind his name on the news but I didn't really understand it.
