Tell him you found replacement. Kick him out, you have every right to since he hasn't paid for anything except trash bags and tell him you upgraded to somebody better, me! :p I hope that put a smile on your face atleast.

I agree. Simply say you really need someone who can pay the rent. And it'd probably just worsen the tension, but you could throw all of his trash on his bed/bedroom rather than putting it away for him or throwing it away.

Ask your apartment manager to change the lock on the door.
OR change it yourself and keep the old one to put back on when you leave.
If that does not work FIBERGLASS INSULATION + CLOTHING DRAWER = BAD
