I dont' like him -- he is a lying brown noser. I don't like his answers regarding CAP. Why can't he admit he joined that group to curry favor with the Regan administration and impress Ed Messe so that he could get a job.

Alito's not great, but he's certainly better than that Myers person. But I don't know enough to say much more than that. However, one of his cases he is most criticized for is voting for making women tell their husbands before aborting if they so choose to have abortion. Now, he voted AGAINST what majority ended up voting for, so it didn't matter. And women rights groups have been pissed off at him for that vote. But I don't know, I don't think that vote is nearly as bad as people think. He would have probably said the same thing if men got pregnant instead of women ... that the husband would have to tell the wife before abortion. Anyway, again, not a great choice, but I think that's the best candidate we'll get out of Bush. If I knew more, I might be more critical or not so much.
