Yes, it's stupid. I have like a million people in my friends of list. If it bothered me that much, all I'd have to do is either ban the ones I don't want bothering me, or hide my friends of list.

Actually I haven't been friended by too many of them. It doesn't bother me too much. I don't have time to weed through my friend's of list just to see who's a serial adder or not. I don't think you added me though. I'm not sure who I got here. I think one of my friend's was bitching, so I came to see what all the fuss was about.
