Why do you all have to spend your gift cards TODAY?!?

I HATE that the only exits from my building's parking lot all face the Woodfield Mall parking lot. Every Joe-Bloe and his sister are there exchanging Christmas gifts for whatever they really wanted and cashing in their gift cards today. The parking lot is grid-locked again (just like last Monday). I like the sign idea. But, unfortunately, most asshats STILL would cut you off and not let you in. I was once in a FUNERAL PROCESSION with the apropriate sticker and not only did some jackass cut in but when I hoped in the back seat and flasher our sign at him he flicked me off and stayed put. Big SUV. My Great Aunt in her little something or other nearly got seperated from the rest of us. People suck. Ass.

A long time ago a friend of mine was driving a bunch of us somewhere in the city in an army Jeep. This was one of those Chicago winters where we had tons of snow, so there were large mounds of plowed snow on all the street corners. He was getting frustrated at the jammed up traffic, so he had the bright idea of driving over the pile of snow on the corner to get around the grid-locked intersection. Unfortunately, there was a fire hydrant underneath the pile of snow and the jeep got the front chassis caught on top of the hydrant. I don't remember how long it took to get the Jeep off of it, but after spending several hours watching the tow truck try to lift the jeep high enough, I got a ride home from somebody else.

You know, dude, you work right next door to one of the biggest malls in the country. (10th largest nationally, according to some random website.) 10.5 months out of the year, you are DISTINCTLY advantaged to be so positioned. You pay for that advantage by not being able to get out of your parking lot in December. I've got the tiniest violin in the world (10th tiniest according to some random website), and it's playing Nearer My God To Thee just for you. :P
