Hey, Platyplural! What do you think of taking a week of your leave in October? We could dirtbag out to Devil's Tower like you mentioned? T's people want her and me up for the second week of October, and then if I do a week with you before and a week with just T after

Oh, man, I just realized I have no idea what the weather is like in Wyoming in October. Is it going to be too cold to climb already? Will we need arctic sleeping bags and alpine gear?

Is it possible I could be a bigger worry wart?

First week of October is usually *awesome*. Dry and sunny, hot during the day. Temps drop at night, so bring your Thinsulate-lined Polarfleece jammies.

We can warm up for Devil's Tower in the Badlands and Custer State Park. Which in October are practically tourist-free.

Hmm, wonder if any of the local farm stands along the route will still be open. Ought to be fall fruit and veggies available, at least in places...
