Good and Bad

I wish this was a post of unalloyed joy...but it isn't...while we can start digging the USA out of the hole it has been placed over the last 8 years, I loathe the fact that we, in California, chose to take away people's civil rights and enshrine discrimination in our State Constitution.

In all of the excitement last night, I forgot to check on this. Damn.

I was going to have my wedding out there but now I don't know what to do. We've been delaying our Straight Marriage in protest for three years. I'm sick of it. And I really thought that thing was a no-brainer. Why do people want to destroy strangers' lives so much?

Fear of a new paradigm is such a difficult thing for many people to embrace. I have hope that the shift toward equality will continue, we've already come a very long way.
