So turning on the TV every 6 or 7 years is kinda weird. I don't know who anybody is on SNL, except the blonde who plays Hilary (youtube counts as TV, right?). But the Cougar Den skit was pretty awesome.

You know what's a shame? I really like Chevy Chase -- I think he'd be a great person (to borrow from our elections and much more appropriate in my context I think) have a beer with. But he's just not that funny.

true, but when I was a kid, Space Ghost wasn't a talk show host, and was one of my favourites actually. I don't mind the Adult Swim version of him of course, but it was super weird when I first saw it.

I've had the same odd reaction. Turned it on last year to try and catch A Charlie Brown Christmas, because you know, you gotta watch it at the same time as everyone else, with the commercials and everything. And OMG, the tabloid shows are out of control, the bias in general on TV is so ridiculous and things are like some weird futuristic dystopian scifi parody. But it's like, real.
