Not because he's been doing anything particularly notable, but he's been wandering the snowy streets all day, and looking quite non-chalant in doing so. As of now though, he's leaning in the doorway of the Goldenrod Department store, hands in the pockets of his coat. His nose is a bit red from

[There's a tiny person in a full Pikachu costume wandering through the department store. Even the head is that of a Pikachu, kind of like a mascot or something similar. In the Pikachu's hands are Drifloon balloons. They look... really realistic. The left arm looks a bit strange compared to the right arm though.

Oh! Customer spotted!

Person in said Pikachu costume waddles over to Izaya and holds out a balloon to him.]

[Well, that hadn't exactly been what Izaya had in store - but then again, this was a department store. Mascots and balloons where pretty standard fare, though he was pretty aware that this mascot was very small. And in most cases, at least in his experience, they didn't approach people like him.

But this was Johto, and he knew that normal rules didn't necessarily apply. Perhaps if he was still in Tokyo, he'd have simply refused the balloon... but he felt compelled. If nothing else, he could humor himself by giving it to Namie later on.]

For me?

[He offered a surprisingly saccharine smile, taking the balloon.]

What a good mascot you are.

[Cocona takes note that this was Izaya. It was a bit difficult to see through the small holes of the Pikachu head, so she did not know that was him before. However, she knew that she was not allowed to talk except for the good old words:]

Pikapi! Enjoy your time at the Department Store!

[She does a small salute and finishes off with a kira pose. The Drifloon balloon might have twitched or it could have been his imagination.]

[He merely nods in her direction, twirling the string of the balloon around his fingers briefly.]

Of course. And keep up the good work, Cocona-chan.

[His smile remains; there's no reason to deny that he immediately was able to put a name to that voice, even if it was muffled through the costume.]

( though Namie was only at the Pokecenter and the walk wasn't a long one, by the time she gets to the doorways he's gone. grimacing, she proceeds to walk nonchalantly--not search, mind you--through the store until she comes to the roof. )

Found a new lookout spot, have we?

[And indeed, he's practically doing just that. He's leaning slightly forward, with his right foot perched up on the ledge of the building. His eyes are carefully scanning the city, despite the low visibility from the snow. However, there's one curious thing about this situation, and that's the Drifloon shaped balloon he's carrying.]

It's not the best in the city, but I don't think it's time to invest in that yet.

[He pulls his foot back, turning around to look at her with a signature smug smile.]

Very impressive job, Namie-san. Quicker than I anticipated, even.

( she glances pointedly at the balloon but doesn't say anything else, merely walks over to him and tosses her hair over one shoulder. )

Well, of course. You seem to forget that I'm not as entirely predictable as the rest.

What makes you think I'd forget? A girl who lusts after her brother so much... It's hard to associate that with predictability, after all.

[And he just made her expression of delight turn into one of horror.] F-Frostbite!?

[Despite the horrified expression, Izaya looks calm; still smiling, even.] That's right. Of course, the temperature hasn't dropped so much that it would be a quick process, especially not if you're prepared for the weather. Then again, being out in the cold for any extended period of time could make it worse, especially with all the moisture from the snow...

[She latches onto the first sentence like a drowning person latches onto a lifesaver and ignores the second sentence like a drowning person avoiding an anvil] -- so, um, it'll be okay if we're wearing gloves! Right?

Theoretically, presuming your hands don't get wet through the gloves, or the temperature doesn't drop dramatically, or you don't stay outside too long. There are so many factors that go into the onset of frostbite. In reality, it's best to just find shelter and avoid the potential problem completely, no?

[ Rise did another quick run for Christmas shopping, and will be running into Izaya on the way out. She's getting over a cold, so she's looking forward to getting back to her little group where it's warm. She's not above being friendly, though. ]

[Oh, that's a familiar face. Well, he figures now is as good a time as any to place nice; he offers a bright smile. It's pretty unassuming, really.]

[Rika notices Izaya standing outside of a shop, so she runs up to him.]

Hello, Izaya. Are you enjoying the snow?

[In response, he'll pull a hand out of his pocket and offer Rika a wave.]

Ah, Rika-chan~ [He looks up towards the sky, not particularly bothered with the snow landing on his face or in his hair.] It does change the atmosphere of the city a bit; perhaps... a bit more jolly from the citizens. It's not problematic as of now, so I have no trouble with it.
