[Guess what, Johto? It's been a while since this guy has broadcast anything of his own. Really, he doesn't have very much to say, at least... not really. Or does he.]
Oya, oya. I suppose I should do this before I forget. I wouldn't want to be rude, after all. Ryuzaki-san, Pilgrim-san - it was a pleasure to do business with the both you. Both

I'm familiar with the legends you speak of, so it's probable that we are from the same world, or ones with little difference between them.
[He pauses for just a second here, frowning slightly.]
The religious and spiritual life in a world like this should be colorful and lively, but I have seen admittedly few traces of it.
If you have your own theories regarding the topic, I'd be interested in knowing them.

[He's just smiling - not as creepily as in his initial post, though. More with a bit of intrigue.]
It's a shame, really. I can theorize all day, but there's nothing to support it in the slightest. Perhaps my curiosity is getting the better of me in seeking someone who may have more of an idea. Of course, the lack of any information that I've seen since arriving leads me to think either they're purposefully hiding it from us... or perhaps that we just haven't been looking in the right places.
And it's likely the latter, I'm sure.

Interesting is almost an understatement.
[And then he nods, having actually thought exactly the same thing - since the locals did seem to keep some information absent, it had crossed his mind how that might have been the case with religion as well.]
I hope so. If they are in fact keeping it from us somehow, it would indicate that a deity is somehow responsible for us being here - which could be both a good or a bad thing depending on whether this assumed deity would be manevolent or benevolent.

[He nods his head, flicking some hair away from his eyes. It was a bit unexpected to hear from someone who was thinking along a similar track, but it wasn't a bad thing.]That's precisely it. And if that's the case, it's quite a situation. I'm inclined to think that should it be a deity of sorts, they're not particularly malicious. They've confiscated personal weapons and abilities - whether that's to protect the Pokémon, the people, or leave us defenseless truly remains to be seen... but it certainly has an effect, wouldn't you say? The crime rate is very low. Theft and violence, perhaps a bit of vandalism seems to be as far as it goes. I can't say I've heard of any unnatural deaths since I've been here either ( ... )

I'm fine now! Where was I... oh yeah, the goddess! In my world, there was a goddess named Frelia! The Sacred Army was keeping her weak though.

Is that so? How unfortunate for her, though this Scared Army must be powerful if they can restrain a goddess. What, pray tell, was she a goddess of?

Are you familiar with the legends that several ancient civilizations possessed technology beyond ours? My troops discovered that not only was one of these legends real, but that this tribe's legendary power source was an ancient laser on par if not superior to any laser developed by the United States during the Cold War!
Another example! The myth that gypsies are skilled in...let's say the darker arts. This one is also true! I once hired a gypsy woman to raise an army of ghosts with astonishing results!
A third example! One of my operatives, the Baroness, found a shell containing the song of the Sirens, proving the old Greek myth true!
A final example. I have encountered the Egyptian god Set and lived to tell the tale!

My favorite would have to be the legends of Death, the Grim Reaper. It is represented differently depending on the religion, often viewed as a skeletal figure carrying a large scythe, but its purpose stays the same for the most part: to judge those about to die and sever the ties between the soul and the body in order for the individual to move on to the next world. They say that the phenomenon of seeing your life flash before your eyes is actually the Grim Reaper reviewing your life.
[She then pauses.]
Ah, pardon me, I rambled on a bit there. You are most likely familiar with it anyway.

But it is interesting, nonetheless, isn't it? One entity holding that power. All though what happens once the "body" and "soul" are separated are another matter entirely, it would seem.
[Izaya lets out a hollow chuckle; the concept of death is, after all, what first compelled him to mythology to begin with.]

A god of death ran my school. Lord Death -- he was basically the grim reaper.
'Scept he had people like me'n Maka go collect souls for him. And only the evil ones.
Good ones, he went and got himself.

[Yes, Soul. You've definitely piqued his interest.]
And what exactly happens to collected souls, if I may ask?

It's way cool.
But I dunno what happens to good ones. I'm figuring they go somewhere... well... good.
Since Lord Death's a pretty cool guy.
