Someone told me one time that you should play with the best people who can stand to hear you play. I've always tried to keep that in mind. That was the main reason that I put together the ETW quartet last year (Dr. Stroeher, James Martin, Mark Casto and me). Those 3 guys are some of the best players I've ever played with.
