Man if you haven't gotten to Life of Pi yet that one is even better in my opinion from what I've heard about Shackleton's voyage.

And hey I'm still unsure what decision for college yet but it'll probably somewhere not TOO local but still close enough. Colorado is still sounding like a good option...
