So Tronzler breaking from Clu's control in the lightjet scene clearly showed him remembering some of his original directives on seeing Flynn. Fight for the users, yay. And the lights changing shortly thereafter was a pretty good indication of him breaking at least mostly free of the repurposing.
...But we don't know what kind of state he's in after that. As I see it, there's what Clu added to his code (new directives, commands, filters)... but we don't know how much Clu deleted either. The general assumption is that Clu wasn't able to retain Tron's skills without leaving his base code mostly intact--suppressed, rewritten, but still there. And yeah, his fight-for-the-users moment seems to support this.
But what about Tron's memories? Assuming they're not inextricably tied up in his skills or abilities, who's to say Clu wouldn't just have erased them? The usual picture in most fics seems to lean towards filters or restrictions. But seriously... Tron's memories would only be a problem source for Rinzler. And if Clu could delete them

More coherently, I have one ongoing fill to write, one (really long, maybe novel-length) fill that I'm trying to plan out before I barf words all over the screen, and several oneshots I am supposed to be writing should be writing need to finish.
In other words, please somebody else fill this before I give in and do it anyway.
I'm saving this, but please don't hold your breath. If/when I do it, it will likely be long, and thus take longer. That said, it's a pretty small "if" and a pretty big (though eventual) "when."

Anyways. De-anoning and YES YOU ARE AWESOME. :D Perfectly fair if it takes you awhile; my own fills have been erratic of late. But just knowing you're maybe-sometime-filling it makes me greatly joyous.
So, [nervous laughter], I am vaguely working on this and like fifteen other things, two of which are my Senior Project and not failing high school, etc. At any rate, if/when this is complete, I'll link to this prompt and post it in the WIP page on the new meme.
First, I feel like crap for up and vanishing for over a year. It was a sucky thing to do - but at the same time, had I not focused on school, RL probably would be a wreck right now. As it is, I was accepted at a college I want to go to, and now I have a free summer to catch up on fic and do all the writing I want, without stressing and freaking out about schoolwork instead.
No worries at all on the disappearing; I wound up doing much the same myself for... half the same reasons. Anyways, haven't poked around this comm for a while either, but all the flaily joy at you writing this! :D
I shall head DW-wards for more thorough commenting, but seriously, you're awesome.
