Tron/any or gen, rescue

Don't think I've seen this anywhere, so worth prompting?
Clu turns on Flynn. Tron fights while Flynn runs off. And Tron gets reprogrammed into Clu's loyal pet, which he's stuck as for the next thousand cycles, largely because Flynn never even bothers going back to check.
So, adding to the recent swarm of what-if prompts... what if Flynn (or someone else) did come back for Tron?
I'd like to see a fic where Tron gets rescued from the rectification early. It doesn't have to be Flynn doing the rescuing--if anything, someone else could make more sense, given Flynn's well-known preference for staying away.
Bonus points: -rescue takes place after the repurposing's been started, but while he's still mostly/partly himself. -At least partly from Tron's PoV -dual-wielding Tronzler.

...I just can see Tron(zler) in real world, staying with Flynn and a small, adorable hero-struck kid "flying" in circles around him. Alternatively, it would've been fun if Sam started his programming studies early on and "accidentally" got Tron out. Kevin might have had a heart attack - a solemn Tron and his overexcited son with him... Or stuck between Tron and Alan. Heh. Seconded!

Other characters that would be awesome for this could be the Isos (realizing he could be THEIR weapon instead), Shaddox (the former architect program from Betrayal), or Yori taking a few levels in badass to repay an old favor (Tron pulled her out of a repurposed state in the first film).

*nods* I was actually thinking of Yori or Quorra as the most likely alternates to Flynn, but any of the ideas the both of you have mentioned could be excellent.

Oh man, this ended up making me feel like. Super sappy. Thanks for the awesome prompt.
Tron is in the Rectifier one fractal of a cycle and gone the next.
Tron opens his eyes and realizes he's in a bland, empty room with no doors, but a window overlooking the portal, which is much closer than it should be. He must be at the edge of the Grid, one of those buildings daringly close to the Sea of Simulation.
Then he hears the voice. /Wow, Tron...who's been messing with your code? This is all jacked up. Take a break while I patch you up and figure out where the damage came from./
Tron is so tired of fighting, of waiting for Flynn, of disappointment, that he doesn't even try to resist this new User who has rescued him

"Uh...OK..." Sam queries the intruding program and gets its name and filepath, then tries to shut it down. It takes five tries and an override password he only knows because he's been through every single piece of paper his dad had left behind, after the police had returned it all, but he finally got it to do what he wanted.
Sam's frown deepens as he considers that. "I thought Clu was a good guy..."
He sits still for a long minute, uncomfortable, and then quickly reactivates what security functions Clu had managed to turn off and then he sits back and takes a good look around the room. It could've been the last place his dad had been before...
He finally notices the laser.

After he has a chance to look it over and realizes where it's pointing, Sam's stomach clenches fiercely. You promised to take me with you, dad, he thinks. Well, I'm coming in. Ready or not.He recalls the last action his father had taken and the command prompt it called up. He thinks about his options, and then goes back to Tron's folder

Note here, bc character limit: and together, THEY FIGHT CRIME. No, srsly, I feel like I don't know enough to write action scenes. They save the ISOs and the rest of the grid and get Kevin out.
And hey, Alan's there, and the truth will set you free, Kevin Flynn. Happily ever after with frequent weekends spent in the Grid, imminent. The End.

I think this is the very first little-Sam-goes-to-the-Grid-alone fic on here.
