Gratuitous display of characters in skimpy clothing, or none at all, under the assumption that it will attract or "reward" viewers. The character is usually female; fanservice of male characters also happens.

She's making her list, she's checking it twice, and she's checking off your name after she's killed you, probably for making it personal.
(Note: Focus on a character that seeks revenge, and the more bloody, the better)

A character who never speaks, at least not in a way understandable by the audience.
