Just for those who were worried (none of you) jamie and i headred back to T'ville last night and get home by midnight to avoid Cyclone Larry. Townsville is rainy, windy but safe. cairns was fun though, pity the holiday got cut short. cairns and innisfail have been hit hard, jamies family have no power etc. We are FINE, i've had so many messages

I just read about the cyclone in a Spanish paper. Glad to know you are fine...I didn't know exactly if it passed close to where you are. I didn't even know Australia suffered from cyclones. *blush*

Yes, we get cyclones... only in the north tropical regions- just above were i live. Our biggest one was Cyclone Tracy which hit on christmas day in Darwin about 20 years ago i think. This was pretty bad, cat 5 when it hit the coast. Looks like another tropical low is following it, possibly turning into a cat3.

Not sure yet, too early to tell. chances are it will hit the same places as Larry if it makes it at all. poor cairns and innisfail!

I was worried dear ^^;; I have another friend who was in Cairns, and supposed to come home yesterday, but I haven't heard from him, and he's not answering his phone >_<

shit, people all over know about this cyclone and I had no idea!! I only heard about something today, but didn't realise how bad it was until I did a little 'research'. Now I'm worried!! But glad you're okay. Hope you had fun in Cairns despite it.
