Shameless Advertising

OK, so I am realizing I haven't posted in ages, but I've been kinda busy...well, super uber busy.  Still no "official job", but I've been busting a move on trying to get my art career off the ground.  So here's shameless advertising to try and entice some of you to come out and look at art.

This weekend I'll be at the Canby Wine & Art Festival, I ( Read more... )

Your website looks great. If I had a car, I would totally come out to your open studio sessions - I have some printmaking ideas that I would love to bounce off you sometime. (wondering how difficult it would be to get to your house on Tri-Met)

And, without a car, I can't go to fun things like the other events that you mention, but I hope that they are both fun and profitable for you.

Would love to hear your print making idea. You should come by on Tues or Wed during the Open Studio, it's only $10 and you can use my baby press. The bus is not too bad, you take the 35 from downtown and it drops you off at the corner. And since the Open Studio is over at 5pm you should be able to catch a bus home no problem. It would be fun to see you.

Oh my, I had NO IDEA that you lived on the 35 line. The 35 runs about 5 blocks from my house, and it looks like it takes about an hour+ to get to your place.

I'm sure that I can't leave Smokey alone in the house for so long, she is having piddle problems despite the two expensive medications from the vet, she can hold it about 4 hours but not six or seven.

But I can plan for the future, if I want to do printmaking, what kind of supplies would I need. I was thinking about doing something with my alphabet graphics, some kind of block printing, since I love the look of block prints.

Sorry to hear about Smokey, but I understand puppy potty problems, believe me. Regarding doing print making here I would suggest you work on one and test it out on my press first. I haven't done a block print on it, but it should work. I image the block print image would work nicely on it since it doesn't have a ton of detail. All you would need is a block and paper, I have tools you could borrow and I have ink you could use to test. If you were going to print a bunch you would need your own ink, but for starters just get a block and some paper. My tools are not the best, but they do alright.

Reading this was such a great help. Anti aging skin products is such a complicated thing and this article explained it well. Many thanks to this new information.
