In addition to my copious knitting (which you've seen many times), I do all kinds of other crafty things. Last year I used a woodburner and colored pencils to make fairy doors for several friends. The kids and I regularly do what Anya calls "Special Mommy Projects"--we have one ready to start tomorrow, matter of fact!

Thanks! The kids really liked them. (So did their mothers, who were referring to them as "my door" instead of the kids' doors.) I enjoy doing that kind of thing a lot.

Today we're going to paint flower pots that are stacked and glued to look like people, and then plant chives in the tops for hair.

My Talent?

I have 2:

1) I am the weird person you find in stressful situations that is able to find humor and make you laugh...sometimes so hard that you will shoot whatever you are drinking right out your nose! I was once told that I could probably get someone to laugh right before their execution.....and for GOD'S SAKE don't take me to a funeral.

2) I have this really odd penchant for finding lost people. Usually without a name. I use this talent to help adoptees and birthparents reunite. It is really an off-beat talent, would pay well if I ever charged for the service (would rather go for the Karma reward) and is rewarding as all hell to break the mystery surrounding the relinquishment.
