On Thursday of last week, a tall drink of water better known to some as Chris Scholl came to Geneva for his debut on European soil. I was very honored to be the first to get to show him around, and I took my hosting responsibilities VERY seriously. There was a lot of good food and drink to be had. So we started strong:

Just so you know, I WAS warned about making Hollandaise sauce by Claudette before the outset of my vacation. She told me it'd be tricky, even if I'd done it before. And then Mary essentially told me to doctor Mayonnaise instead Friday eve at La Lance. And what did I do? Attempted it anyway, hung over and grumpy. Sheesh. At least my stomach needed all the fatty goodness after my regurgital surgical strike in the WC at the after party the night before. Thank Rodrigo for not ACTUALLY performing sexual acts upon my passed out body while y'all charaded about my recumbant form. Thank God for the forethought of sparkling white and blood orange juice! And when I hung out with Claudette 2 days ago? She said about the Hollandaise, "I told you so!" But I don't care now. I am determined to get a small batch of Hollandaise going before too long. I'll show you all!
