I love grocery shopping here. Yeah, it's more expensive than what most Americans are used to, but everything is beautiful. Literally. There is no variety of crappy bread, no unnatural-looking blocks of "cheese product". The quality is much higher, and actually, it's probably cheaper than Whole Foods in the end comparing for quality. It's like

Sounds scrumptious! Eat some raw cheese for us, please!!! Ryan wants yogurt with chocolate pieces in it! You are not missing anything in MI right now--it's been below freezing for over a week, and they closed public schools yesterday (1/16) because the wind chill was below 20 degrees. And yes--I just checked--it's still snowing. There looks to be almost 2 feet on the ground right now. But it's so cold, literally dangerously cold, that we can't enjoy it. How dumb! Le sigh--perhaps Scotland will be in our future--no more freezing temps for us. Cheers- Mary & Ryan
