At first she thinks she is back there, reliving, and she can feel the dread clawing up her throat as she inhales. But the expected terror never comes, and she begins to notice that this is new. She has not avoided only her bad memories, but all of them -- this is not something that has happened before.
She is on the bed at the Storm house -- not hers. The one the demon chose. There is a young man there with her, lying with her, but though she feels some fear, she feels safe, too, and something else that is wholly indescribable. He touches her reverently, softly, and the feeling it conveys is enough to make her weep. But she just smiles and bites her lip because whatever this is, it feels exquisite and then she looks up to a narrow face and dark hair--
And she is back in the library, face down in her math textbook, hastily sitting up and blinking away her confusion. She looks at the assignment but she has no chance of concentrating right now, flushed and embarrassed and very confused.
She hopes she doesn't see Loki. That could be a whole new realm of awkward.
