I feel like I could fill this comment with details about labeling theory and self-fulfilling prophecies (sociology edition!) but then it might get a little long.

Basically, good job. I quite like how gently the negative connotations of the terms "psychopath" and "sociopath" (however outdated they are BUT WE AREN'T FOCUSING ON THAT) are explored on someone who probably isn't either.

Haha, I studied psych at uni, and the massive reaction I have to the idea that "Sherlock totally IS a sociopath!" -- I could write for days!

But I'm willing to explore Sherlock's self-concept, and obviously, write fic on it!
