Following my theme of "places in the middle of nowhere that are Sherlock-related" (catchy theme title, amirite?), I bring you:

There's also Gregory, WA and Gregory, QLD apparently.

Stumbled across these while on a hunt to see if I can find any rental property in the entire COUNTRY that's $400/month or less for 2BR.

So far there closest is $433/month somewhere just south of Echuca.

This stems from a twitter conversation where a friend mentioned someone talking about $400/month rent in US for a 2BR place.

Oh, very nice! I approve of this (albeit tenuous) link! XD

Good luck with your hunt, it's very....optimistic? Property prices are crazy in this damn place!

Maybe you could find a $400/month place in one of the Sherlocks, but I suspect that these small towns might not be advertised online!

I gave up. Can't seem to find any. I'm not even sure if anyone lives in Sherlock, WA. Google Map street view just show a straight road going on and on and on forever and absolutely nothing on either side of the road.

Obviously, you'll just have to create your own settlement, build your own mansion there, and live for however much you choose to spend per month! ....Tempting!

Haha, the blue lake is AWESOME. I was a little bit disappointed to find out there are other places in the world with lakes that are this crazy blue - I thought maybe Australia was unique :(

But at least *this* blue lake is within a reasonable distance! Could drive there in....6 hours? Something like that.

Next time we drive to Adelaide we'll do the sherlock scenic route ;)

On related amusement. The guys who started our landscaping this morning brought with them a bright blue wheelbarrow with Sherlock printed on the side LOL!

LOL! That's very considerate of them! Did you congratulate them on their choice of branding? :P
