1 minute, 52 seconds of fun

I've been training for a marathon now for just over a year. In that time, I've run 3 half marathons officially and now am reaching the point in my training where I am running more than 13 miles every weekend. Well, at least hypothetically. I'm impressed. I know I've written a couple of times about my attempts at running. I'm nowhere near that fast and as much as I would like to blame it on my short legs, it's really just that I'm slow.

I hope you find a way to enjoy it.

Hm... If running is more fun when you're going short distances as fast as you can, maybe you are a sprinter by nature. You might enjoy RunOn's speed development classes. And once you've got the 26.2 sticker, you can set a goal of winning an age group award in the 5K. If you want to run again, that is. But having been there, I recommend trying running with a different group before you give up entirely. Or running with a different focus.
