i think in actuality, shaving the dog would be worse for it.. because re-growing the hair would be itchy... think about when u shave your nuts.. and multiply it by a millionssssssssss...

plus they shed :)

I used to shave one of my cats for summer and he absolutely loved it, if your dog is hairy, go for it. She will probably be scared about the experince but will enjoy it when it's over.
