I have to watch X-Men 1st Class, don't I? Even without the movie the idea of Charles projecting his delirium to the entire school frightens and awes.

Seriously though, this ficlet in particular was more inspired by the fact that I recently watched Inception which is all about weird dream images. First Class, mostly, is about the man love between Magneto and Charles. And just a little sexist. I have fic coming up about both those topics, too.

Wow, I was confused through a lot of this, because I don't know the movie, but I like that you made a premise that was very simple and clear that I could hang onto once it was revealed - Xavier is having a fever dream, and yikes!

I didn't really understand the dynamics about Mystique showing up well enough, because I'm fuzzy on the X-Men 'verse details. But I could tell that it was a *really big deal* for Hank and that he was kind of sad that the dream wasn't real because it meant she wasn't really there?

Anyway, quite compelling despite my ignorance of this fandom. :)

I keep it with Ray, I'm scared shitless of the idea that one person should hold that much power. One fever dream is enough for everything to go wonky. ;)

Yeah, Mystique played an... interesting part in First Class. Turns out, she's Xavier's (adopted) sister. And Hank has the hots for her, too. It's complex.
