I'm loving this Finnick/Haymitch one, loving Finnick's attachment to books from before the Dark Days, and how it says so much about his need to escape his life. Aw, poor Finnick! I like too the utter pointless subject matter of the book, how that isn't the point.
I also really like the last one, how you put the romance of Finnick/Annie into context of Finnick having issues of control over his own sexuality. I think it makes a lot of sense that he would be thrown by this rare opportunity to express his *own* romantic and sexual desires and not have them managed by the Capitol and Snow. I can see how he'd have no idea of what to do with it, and he'd be kind of afraid of it, of fucking it up, of hurting this person he's taken upon himself to protect. Really interesting take on how their relationship could have happened.
The middle one, about the blood on the horizon, is chilling, for all the sweet, cute romance that surrounds it.
