Title: Attachments Characters: Casey Spoilers: Ep. 4x5: Chuck vs. the Couch Lock AN: For trulyobsessive who requested something to do with cleaning. I hope you're having a better day than the one when I asked you to prompt me!
I love this! I don't even know where to begin. Okay, first, the shaving. :D Then, the idea of shaving with a knife (I honestly barely know whether to laugh or drool, and I really do mean that as a very good thing, cause I just... So much love)! And you do such a lovely job of capturing the slightly darker side of Casey with this... The tone of it, it fits the personality of Casey so well.
And I love your balance between his past and his present (and the little bit of future as well). You describe both his past and his present which such vivid details, painting such a clear picture. Beautifully done! <3
Thank you so much; I'm so honored that you wrote something so lovely for me! *HUGS*
Isn't shaving with a knife just the kind of thing Casey would know to do? I can picture it so vividly. It's such a cinematic skill.
I did put a lot of thought into Casey's past in the republican little town of Hurricane, Utah. Granted, in my version he's gay, thrown out by his father when he walked in on Casey being fucked by the neighbor's son, but Hurricane still works without that. ;)
Oh, this is nice. I didn't see the end coming at all.
The image of Casey shaving with his father said so much about Casey's back story with so little. And I really liked the line about how Iran and Utah should feel farther away than they felt. Very poignant, even though it's rather tight-lipped about what has happened to cause all this. (Is this canon stuff I'm not caught up with?)
Woah, excellent. You caught Casey's dark, slightly dry humor. Also shaving with a knife is what dark anti-hero [turned very reluctant hero] Thomas Covenant does.
