We had been out of toilet paper for a couple days. I was at the library yesterday, and decided to take action. That's right, I stole one of their big rolls. I was actually surprised out easy it was, since the dispensers have two big rolls, and if the first is reduced far enough, you can just reach up, pull down the catch, and the box pops open

another good way to get free toilet paper is to take it from the dorms. if you have friends to let you into their halls, there are usually several extra rolls sitting around in each bathroom. that's how we did it for a long time!
