I don't have the details now, and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to provide until it goes through some processing... But I can say that if he's comfortable with Java, and other similar languages, he'd be an easy transition.

Any apprenticeships, positions that come with training? Last ting I programmed in was Basic, but I'm quick to learn. Just thought I'd ask. Unfortunately, I've managed to wind up isolated, neutralised and out dated in the skills depeartment, so with regaining my freedom, I also need to to start again, preferably in a field that I am interested in.
Alas, nothing along those lines that I know about thus far. And programming in Basic is a little rudimentary. If you're interested in learning stuff, I'd say start learning it. There's always going to be a place for good programmers.
