ever watch "the boondocks"? in the episode "riley wuz here" they had a character based off him. hilarious.

he didnt ruin the painting, he just had some "happy little accidents." he also wanted to make the forest seem more "wild and unruly-like my hair."

everything he painted was happy
there was a happy little farm house and then as he was adding things he said he was doing them for the happy little farmer. "and heres a happy little fence for the farmer.... and lets add a happy little path so the farmer can walk to the road"
