A general trend of growing older is more eccentric. So, I'm documenting some of my quirks, curious to see if and how they change over time...
I know I don't experience time or read/write conventionally: When writing I will shift tenses faster than race drivers do gears, but it all makes sense to me at the rate I read.
I know I drop joining, leading and trailing words when I write and rewrite quickly. It's I think a form of semantic datacompression. I know I make many misspellings by typing based on how words sound rather than are spelled. Ironically if I shift gears into "does the word look right" the more accurate my spelling becomes, but then sentences turn into branching like structures. That make perfect sense to me when scanning the spatial relationship of keywords, (like a tag 'cloud') but impossible to speak as linear narrative.
I read backwards about the same speed as forwards, making me quite confused when glass doors say "HSUP" and it doesn't open leaving me like that far side cartoon for gifted children. Metaeducation is also quite speedy in this area.
Similarly, I transpose qtask and gmail in the internet browser, I think q for qtask, than hit g+autocomplete, contrarywise for gmail.
When writing on paper I will start from the 1-2 letters in...but leave space for the two letters (!) then fill them in after 2 or 3 letters in the middle have been written. Anything with double tt's gets stroked with a single stroke afterwards.
I have 2 keys, one for the front door and the other for the apartment door, they are color coded to blue for outside, pink for the inside. There are two front doors one 'main' one off the garage. About 80% of the time I will get the front door key transposed but only in the main entrance.
While I'm adept at multitasking on many things..e.g. At lunch I eat with my left hand (even with chopsticks) and drawing simultaneously with my right. Occasionally I seem to forget that what hand is dominate then my left hand stars writing about the same clarity as my right hand, but in mirror reversed!
Only when driving I will start getting serial yawning fits, even if having plenty of sleep the night before and am not tired. Something about the vibration.
