Don't let anyone tell you otherwise: The Marching Tarheels ("Pride of the ACC") are awesome. If you want first-hand accounts, look up Melanie Simpson who went to GSE with us for drama; she plays clarinet. Our band = teh coolzorz. And our alma mater is the best, hands down.

Congratulations on your full ride! That is a lot of money to look away from; I wouldn't rule it out quite yet. What's your prospective major, if you know it? UNC-G is a very fun school; my sister went there and I had lots of fun visiting her and going to parties. ;D ECU would be good if you got Teaching Fellows, because their teacher's school is probably the best in the state.

Keep on truckin, lovely Crystal, and please please please let me know when/if you come to CH for a visit! You always have a place with me and I would be more than happy to show you "the real Chapel Hill" (as opposed to the fluffy crap they show on tours and stuff).

:D Have a most wonderful Christmas and a happy new year!!!

You are so great! i really do need to get some first hand advice about the band thing. I don't know anyone in it though like i've known some kids in other bands. I'm really going to try to come to Carolina to stay with someone before the year's out. I'm trying to convince my mom but she's not seeing the logic. Eh...parents.

I miss you...

there were two: Carolina is the number five public school in the nation, and Central is not.

all joking aside, Central has very little to offer in diversity and the fact that carolina is so freaking beautiful were very important to me. But remeber several things: 1. Carolina get thousands of donations a year, and the amount of financal aid you get may be more than you think. 2. You can get jobs through the school. these jobs are usually not too bad and many times pay far more than they should :) 3. That admissions arent the only time you can get scholarships. There are many programs that offer scholarships to students while they are in school. 4. Low interest loans are your friends.
