i've been really depressed lately. maybe my psm decided to come a week early and stay extra long. i didn't go to track practice for a week! the coach probably thought i quit. i have no idea why i joined track. running in circles really is not fun

That's what politics is IMO. You just have to find your hook for the people. Find out exactly what is the people are into at the moment(meaning what is hot in fads right now), and find a way to deliver it to them. If you can't deliver it yourself, get someone on your team that can, and then you just have to keep that person happy. And always put your name or slogan in with whatever the hook you're using at the moment. It could be I'm just jaded with this advice though.

You always could run on morales and agenda, but I think it all depends on personality and who is running against you to win with that.
