1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate OR Apple Cider?
While I love my nog and hot chocolate, I can't live without my holiday apple cider. Cold & clean please, none of that warm or dirty crap.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree?
Oddly enough, Santa just places them. I guess he gets tired of wrapping.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
White. I used to love colored when I was younger, but now I lurve white lights. I have to laugh over the debate though, because we were talking about having a white tree in the living room and a colored tree in the kitchen... and I had to ask if we were racially segregating our trees ;).
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
I remember once, my uncle hanged it. I had to kiss my other uncle, once. Haven't seen it since.
5. When do you put your decorations up?
Thanksgiving weekend. Everything has to be up for the next holiday as soon as the previous one ends. *sigh*
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Lobsters. So the lobsters. Thank goodness for traditional Italian Christmases!
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child:
Just spending time with my family. The group has gotten much smaller over the years, and I miss it so much...
8. When did you find out the truth about Santa?
What do you mean, truth?!
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
The people within about 20 minutes of my grandparents house always gather there Christmas morning, and we open gifts then. For anyone who lives farther away and doesn't want to get up at the crack of dawn in order to do gifts at their house and then come do gifts with us, we do them Christmas Eve. Santa & parent stuff is always Christmas day.
10. How do you decorate your christmas tree?
My mom does the lights (I at least help by holding them or whatever) and the garland. Then my sisters and I do the ornaments. Some family glass ones, but a lot more of the school *we made these with paste and cardboard* things nowadays.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Love! I love snowdays, even though we make them up later anyway.
12. Can you ice skate?
I could when I was 12 and took lessons... I don't know if I still could.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Recently, my iPod. I use it everyday, and I love having all my music with me. But, I think I was always genuinely happy with everything that my parents splurged for for Christmas.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Family. Not trying to be cheesy, it really is. Gifts don't even come close to meaning what my family does to me.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
We get different stuff each year, so I really can't say one thing. I'm not a pie person, unless it has chocolate in it.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Going to my grandparents and doing the huge traditional Italian Christmas...

I don't have anything to compare our fake tree to, so I really can't say...

Honestly, giving, when I can. I love making someone's day like that.

"Christmas Eve" by Celine Dion. I'm not all gung-ho for the traditional ones, since atheism & Christmas don't bond on the religious level... yeah, I'm an oddball, but in my book Christmas isn't about the religion, its about the family.

Yuck. I'm not a big fan of peppermint.
