you may or may not realize that the beach you stood upon is where i had my ass handed to me more than once in the freezing water and with my face eating the sand.

Funny thing you mentioned it - while we were there I saw some guys running along the beach all dressed identically and did realize that very thing, thinking - hey, I bet Brannon was doing that oh so short a time ago.

If only I had been there a weekend earlier perhaps we would have hung out - regardless - there's always the holidays...
