Well...I have been back from Maine for almost two weeks now, and surprisingly, I'm not as home sick as I would have thought I'ld be. Maybe deep down its not home anymore...but where I am doesn't feel like home anymore either...

Perhaps the wander lust is setting in again.

Give me your opinions! Where would be a good city to check out?

San Francisco--just don't get a stick while you're there since the steep hills are hard on a clutch. I loved that place while I was there. Also DC is pretty cool--though I'd lean more toward Baltimore.
I also liked Chicago (though I was only there for a weekend)

I was listening to the radio a few days ago and they were talking about something to do with leaving home. I"m not sure on the specifics of the conversation but the topic was that people our age don't have a true sense of home. That we think we do, but we have no problems pulling up roots and moving to a different place. Not that we don't form attachments to these places altogether and sometimes think "I remember when I lived there". I guess in short they were talking about how our generation is adaptable, that our home is beneath our feet.

So far as places go I agree that San Francisco is really cool. Hell, all the major cities on the West Coast, excepting LA and anything below it, are cool. Also, I've heard tons of good things about Santa Fey, a place I've never been but really want to go. They say you get the best of the southwest there with desert on one side and green rockies on the other. Also Montana was great just for the huge open spaces and sense of pure freedom it has.

New Orleans rocks. Especially French Quarter.

Road trip definatly sounds cool, but I am out of vacation time until the end of the year. Unless I change jobs like I am hoping.

San Francisco gets my vote. Every time. Also Chicago. No east coast. Bad east coast.
