It's been a while since I wrote in this journal. I've been a little busy with trying to manage myself. Living on your own is a lot different when you've never done it before. It's a little lonelier than I thought it would be. Even when I traveled alone before, I still had some monsters with me, and cooking for one person doesn't feel as satisfying

Monsters??

Um, yes. Before I came here, part of what I did was make pacts with monsters to help restore the balance in the world. Some of them look scary, but they're really very nice when they're not hungry! Of course, I had to take care of them afterward and some of them like to eat a lot.

A little bit, I guess, but it's true! And I didn't turn out to be much of a knight.

I know that. I don't think that's the problem, though. Or at least, I'm pretty sure.

Do you have friends waiting where you come from too? I miss mine.

Yes. But there's nothing left for me there. Though I miss my friends, too. Dearly.

We should make new friends, since we are here.

Yes, of course! Here, making new friends should be as important as remembering old ones.
