This is the ten year anniversary of my first livejournal entry. Granted I haven't kept it up as much as I did in the beginning, but I never went more than a few months without an entry. And I've got loads of private entries

It's after midngight, well after 3, and I want to note that I called the Learned Owl bookshop today to ask if they had David Rakoff's new book. I wanted to buy it the day it came out but that was yesterday. And I forgot to check the airport bookstore. They probably wouldn't have it anyway. (But now I'll never know!) Learned Owl didn't have it, and they asked me if I wanted to order it, and when bookstores ask this I always say no, but they said it'd be in by Friday, so I said yes. She seemed surprised. Most people probably just order it themselves on Amazon, like me. But some books I just want to buy at a bookstore. In print. (This one is in verse and has illustrations) So when they call me to say it's in I better not let them down and not show up to buy it.

Wow I did a lot today. Just last week I was doing so much nothing I realized that if my life turned into the movie Groundhog Day it would take me 3 or 4 days to notice.
