Goodbye, farewell... [locked to selene_bhaal]

Caleb is fretting right now. He's called Selene over to talk with him tonight, because he has something to tell her. It is something that worries him a lot, but he thinks she needs to be told. She's free to let herself in - not only at this time, but anytime, as he may have made clear in the conversation

There's a soft knock on Caleb's door, before Selene opens it cautiously and pokes her head in. "Caleb...?" she calls out. She's curious about what exactly does Caleb has to tell her.

"Selene..." he says quietly, motioning her over. His arms are somewhat outstretched, as if he'd like to hug her, but simply can't get the energy to do it.

He looks worried. Very worried. What could he be worried about?

Selene approaches and after a moment's hesitation, sits down next to Caleb, blushing slightly. She does note his worry, and that in turn makes her worried. "Is- is there something wrong, Caleb...?"

"...I am leaving tomorrow, Selene." He takes a deep breath, before saying the next part - the part he REALLY DOESN'T WANT TO SAY.

"I might not be able to come back."

Caleb slowly crawls into bed, still looking at her with that 'You know, you can leave if you want' look.

Either way, he will wrap the covers around himself. If she crawls in too, though, he'll share. And cling to her desperately.

How can she leave him now? She knows it'll hurt him more if she did, and well um... They're just sleeping! Right?

After some slight hesitation, she climbs into bed with him.

Caleb wraps his arms around her tightly, even as he closes his eyes.

It IS just sleeping, despite what her mind thinks!
