A question in regards to RP. I've been doing this since I was sixteen and know for different games, different rules. When RPing, do we post in our journals in third person with a [TAG: Quinn] (for example) placed at the end? How is our role-playing primarily done?

It's much preferred that you do your threads over at truecolors_rp; you can thread via comments or you can post a finished scene that was done over aim/email/etc - whichever you prefer :)

You can find more information on posting here.

Yeah, in the RPs I did in the past... it would be like:

Subject Line: (RP) Finn @ the Mall

Blah, Blah, Blah, Finn walks into a wall at the mall in a hall.

[Tag: Anyone]

You know? lol

It varies a lot over different games, for sure, so it's normal that we'll have players coming from all sorts of posting backgrounds.

There's an example scene posted to the comm that can give you some idea of how to do it, but you're definitely more than welcome to put whatever you'd like in the subject line, be it some sort of indication of the characters involved or the place, or a quote or just leave it blank. As for tags to anyone, if you list the thread as "open," so, "Writers: Finn & Open," for example, anyone can jump in and reply :) As for the starting paragraph, it can be inside or outside of an lj-cut, but if it's an open scene, it's probably best to put it outside of one to be sure that people will stop to read it.
