Kurt scrunched his nose at Blaine's behaviour. Blaine hadn't even acted this stupid when drunk but he couldn't blame his boyfriend, he was a little doped up on pain medication right now.

Kurt had been a mess when Blaine had been in theatre for his surgery and the moment Blaine had come out, Kurt had been at his side. He wouldn't have been anywhere else, of course. It was just so scary to see Blaine so pale and unconscious like he had been post-surgery. It had taken a while for him to be lucid enough to talk but the moment Blaine's one good eye had opened and looked at him, Kurt felt so relieved.

"Alright, Blaine, c'mon, drink some water and relax," Kurt said, pulling the blanket over Blaine's legs.

Blaine looked over, taking the glass with shaking hands and taking a tipsy drink. He put it down, looking over at Kurt, suddenly feeling really tired. "Thank you for being with me..." he murmured, opening his arms. "Will you sit with me?"

He looked over, seeing the discarded magazine. "Read Vogue to me?"

Kurt gave Blaine a soft smile. "Of course I will," he said, moving to sit next to Blaine on the bed. He picked up the discarded issue of Vogue and picked up from where they had left off before Blaine's surgery.

He settled next to his boyfriend and read aloud, hoping it would soothe Blaine so he could go to sleep again.

Blaine smiled as Kurt's soothing voice read the magazine, leaning on him. "I love you," he muttered, snuggling tightly against his boyfriend.

He blinked one eye slowly, then barely looked up. "I would do it again."
